COPDGene Conferences and Workshops
Since its beginnings in 2007, part of the success of COPDGene has been a history of holding conferences and workshops where investigators meet in person to discuss ongoing research and future directions. These events revitalize the multi-institutional collaborations that have been so important to COPDGene. Each year in May a COPDGene Investigators Meeting is held in conjunction with the ATS International Conference. Each November COPDGene holds a two-day investigator meeting in either Boston or Denver, the two cities where the COPDGene principal investigators are based.
November 9, 2023, Workshop: Integrating Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) in COPDGene Analyses – Boston, MA
This workshop was focused on the impact of social determinants of health on COPD. It was led by Drs. Elizabeth Regan, Dawn DeMeo, and Niru Putcha. This was an opportunity for investigators performing work in this area to present their results and create expanded discussions from other investigators.
